Raipur December 08
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai has approved Rs 2.62 crore for the construction of a Naturopathy Centre in Kunkuri, giving the town a significant push in the field of natural and holistic healthcare. The tender process for the project is already under way.
While several wellness hubs, yoga centers and nature-cure facilities describe themselves as naturopathy institutions, a formal centre dedicated to naturopathy education and research has a different standing. Bapu Bhavan, historically associated with Mahatma Gandhi and his commitment to natural healing, represents this tradition. In states such as Chhattisgarh, naturopathy centres aim to provide integrated care through natural therapies, yoga, diet-based treatment, mud therapy and herbal medicine.
The new Naturopathy Centre in Kunkuri will offer state-of-the-art facilities within the town itself. Residents will have access to natural treatment methods without the need to travel long distances. Local citizens have welcomed the decision saying that the initiative will promote Ayurveda, yoga and naturopathy while offering meaningful relief to patients from both rural and urban areas.”
Expressing heartfelt gratitude to Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, the locals said “This will bring new direction and new hope to healthcare services in Kunkuri.”
