Raipur, December 6

Commerce, Industry and Labor Minister Shri Lakhan Lal Dewangan attended the ‘Lakhan Ka Ek Saal’ and ‘State Government’s Amrit Kaal’ program organized at the Tilak Bhavan of Korba Press Club on Friday.
Minister Shri Dewangan said that December 3, 2023, was the golden day when the people of Korba, taking a historic decision for development, good governance, and prosperity, gave a resounding mandate to the common people. In the last one year, while living up to the faith of all of you, many new dimensions have been established in the progress of Korba and the state.
All the major promises of Modi’s guarantee have been fulfilled with priority. 295706 mothers and sisters of the district and 71865 of the Korba Municipal Corporation area are being given Rs. 1000 per month under the Mahatari Vandan Yojana.
He said that for the proper development of Korba Assembly and the entire district (National Highway, Bypass Road, Education, Health, Irrigation, Anganwadi, Drinking Water, Security System, Community Building, Stage, Pandal, Pond Deepening, CC Road, Drain, Social Building, Electricity), a total of more than 1800 crores has been sanctioned in this one year. Works worth 300 crores have been started in Korba Assembly. Which are being started by sanctioning works from infrastructure, MLA fund, DMF, Revenue Disaster Management, Urban Local Body, In-charge Minister Fund, and other heads. Some big projects are in the tender process, very soon the development works will begin. Works are being carried out in the wards without any discrimination. Minister Shri Dewangan performed the groundbreaking of additional construction work worth 25 lakhs at the Tilak Bhavan of the Press Club. Along with this, Minister Shri Dewangan announced 20 lakhs for additional development at the request of the Press Club. The office bearers and members of the Press Club congratulated and thanked Minister Shri Dewangan.
He said that under the leadership and guidance of the state’s successful Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai ji and Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Saw ji, today Korba district is moving towards new heights of development. In this one year, our top priority was the renovation and construction of roads from the city to the entire district. For many years, the Urga-Korba-Katghora four-lane road was stuck due to irregularities in land purchase and sale. With our efforts, Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Shri Nitin Gadkari ji has approved Rs. 1593 crore for this route. Its construction will start very soon, similarly, recently the green signal has been given to make the Katghora to Ambikapur double lane road four lane. Our effort has been to reduce the pressure of heavy vehicles from the middle of Korba city, for this, a tender process has been started for an 8 km long bypass route from Barampur to Pragatinagar with an approval of Rs. 83 crore. The construction of an underpass at Sanjay Nagar railway crossing will be done at a cost of Rs. 70 crore. A compensation of Rs. 3.11 crore has been given to the affected people. You will all remember that the construction of the Dhengurnala bypass road was started from the DMF fund in the BJP government in 2018. Now it has been started again after 5 years. Before the assembly elections, the roads of the city were hastily tarred. The tarring was completely uprooted in the first rain itself. As soon as the monsoon season ended, we got the tarring work completed immediately. Journalist friends will remember that the approach road to the सर्वमंगला मंदिर was in a very dilapidated condition. We have started and completed the construction of the सर्वमंगला मंदिर bypass road on time.
