ISRO’s Achievements Are a Matter of Pride for Every Indian: CM Sai

A delegation of space scientists led by Dr. N. M. Desai, Director of ISRO’s Ahmedabad Centre, paid a courtesy visit to Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai at the Chief Minister’s official residence in the capital, Raipur.
During the meeting, Chief Minister Shri Sai and the scientists held detailed discussions on increasing Chhattisgarh’s participation in ISRO’s journey, creating new opportunities for the state’s youth, utilizing ISRO technology to bring transparency and efficiency to government work, and activities run by ISRO for school and college students.
Chief Minister Shri Sai praised ISRO’s achievements, stating that the heights India has reached in the field of space science are a matter of pride for every Indian. He said the Chhattisgarh government is encouraging innovation and technical education so that the youth of the state can develop an interest in space science and actively participate in the country’s space missions.
Chief Minister Shri Sai requested that ISRO organize internship and training programs for the state’s students so that they can gain practical knowledge of space science. He also suggested that ISRO’s technology could be effectively used in areas such as agriculture, monitoring mining control, detecting land encroachment, and identifying illegal activities during paddy procurement.
On this occasion, Dr. N. M. Desai, Director of ISRO’s Ahmedabad Centre, briefed the Chief Minister on various projects run by ISRO. He mentioned that ISRO runs many innovative programs to connect youth with space science, which will also be extended to Chhattisgarh. A positive discussion was also held regarding the establishment of a ‘Space Gallery’ in the state.
Dr. Desai invited Chief Minister Shri Sai to visit the ISRO Ahmedabad Centre and presented him with mementos, including replicas of recently launched ISRO satellites and the Chandrayaan mission.
ISRO Scientists Overwhelmed by the Picture of Lord Madheshwar
During the meeting at the Chief Minister’s residence, ISRO scientists were captivated when they noticed a picture of Lord Madheshwar. Out of curiosity, they sought information about it from Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai.
The Chief Minister explained that Madheshwar Hill is located in the Jashpur district, where Lord Shiva is worshipped in the form of a massive natural Shivling. Local people worship this form of Lord Shiva with great devotion and reverence. He added that this site is not only a center of religious faith but also a symbol of Chhattisgarh’s rich natural and cultural heritage. Chief Minister Shri Sai presented framed pictures of Lord Madheshwar to all the scientists as a gift.

Reena Baba Saheb Kangale, Secretary of Higher Education Department Dr. S. Bharathidasan, Director of Employment and Training Shri Vijay Dayaram K., Director of Land Records Shri Vineet Nandanwar, ISRO Group Directors Dr. D. K. Patel and Dr. Deepak Kumar Singh, Collector Shri Gaurav Kumar Singh, and other officials.
