Invaluable contribution of tribal heroes in liberating the country: Sai

Our country and society should always move forward with a progressive mindset. The new generation of society should progress in the field of education and towards entrepreneurship. For this, the society should continuously be aware and encourage the youth. Our illustrious Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi always emphasizes this unity. If we all remain united and are committed to serving Mother Bharati, then our state and country will be stronger.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said this while addressing the Chhattisgarh-level Nagvanshi Samaj Maha Sammelan held at Gram Ghugri in the development block of Jashpur district.

Chief Minister Sai said that the brave sons of the tribal community like Bhagwan Birsa Munda, Gundadhur, Rani Durgavati, and Veer Narayan have worked to liberate the country with their valor. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the celebration of Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas has been started to take the glory of these great personalities of the tribal community to the people and increase their respect. He said that a memorial dedicated to tribal warriors is being constructed in Naya Raipur to bring to the fore the contributions of these martyrs lost in the pages of history. It will also describe the 13 great battles fought by the tribal heroes of Chhattisgarh.

On this occasion, Chief Minister Sai announced a grant of Rs. 50 lakh for the construction of a community building in Ghugri, the construction of a bridge in Khara Nala, the renovation of the conversion scheme in Dhodarki, and the construction of a Mangal Bhavan in Bagicha at a cost of Rs. 1 crore. Fulfilling the long-awaited demand of the Nagvanshi Samaj, a community forest rights patta was granted to preserve their devbhoomi in Ghugri. Along with this, caste certificates were provided to 40 children who were deprived due to quantitative errors.

In the program, Chief Minister Sai offered prayers to Lord Mahadev-Parvati and Nag Dev, the deities of the Nagvanshi Samaj, and prayed for the happiness, prosperity, and well-being of the people of the state.

Chief Minister Sai, remembering Bharat Ratna former Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee in the program, said that it was he who first formed the Tribal Welfare Department for the welfare and upliftment of tribals.

He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the PM Janman Yojana is being implemented for the upliftment of specially backward tribes, through which work is being done for the welfare of the specially backward tribes considered as the adopted children of the President, such as electricity, water, ration distribution, housing, health, Ayushman card creation, etc.

The Vice President of the Surguja Development Authority and MLA of Pathalgaon, Smt. Gomati Say, said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Say, the double engine government has given double speed to the development of the state. Continuous efforts are being made by our Chief Minister for the upliftment of the tribal community. A large number of dignitaries, including the MLA of Sitapur Shri Ramkumar Topp, the Deputy Chairman of the Zila Panchayat Upendra Yadav, the public representative Krishna Kumar Rai, and the president of the Nagvanshi Samaj, were present at the program.
