One civilian killed as Pakistani forces again violate ceasefire in Jammu, Samba and Rajouri districts

In Jammu and Kashmir, a civilian was killed while four others seriously injured as Pakistani troops again resorted to heavy mortar last night. Pakistani forces resorted to shelling along the International Border in Jammu and Samba districts and along the Line of Control in Rajouri district in RS Pura, Kanachak, Pargwal, Akhnoor, Ramgarh and Naushera sectors.

“Defence sources averred that Pakistani Army and Rangers started unprovoked firing and targeted Indian positions and civilian areas. Troops guarding the border retaliated the fire and intermittent exchange of fire was continuing till last reports came in. So far, since Thursday intense shelling by Pakistan in entire Jammu region along the LoC and IB has left 12 persons, including seven civilians killed, and over 55 others injured.
