North Korea has said, it will defend itself by powerful force of arms in response to the US deployment of a Navy strike group to the Korean peninsula. According to information received, the North Korea’s foreign ministry said that Pyongyang will take the toughest counteraction against the provocateurs in order to defend the country. Spokesman said in a statement that the DPRK is ready to react to any mode of war desired by the US.
The US naval deployment showed North Korea had been right to develop nuclear weapons capability for use in self defence or in a pre-emptive strike, the statement added. The US Navy strike group Carl Vinson cancelled a planned trip to Australia this weekend to head to the region in a show of force against growing threats from the North. South Korea and US are also conducting joint military drills, an annual exercise which is seen by the North as a practice for war.
