Mosco has expressed its willingness to discuss the possibility of a summit in Washington next year between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US counterpart Donald Trump.
Talking to mediapersons in Moscow, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said this after US National Security Advisor John Bolton told Russia’s Interfax news agency that such a summit could be possible.
Bolton who reached Moscow on Sunday, held talks with President Putin and other Russian officials.
Later at a press conference, he said that US President Trump wished to meet Mr. Putin at the World War I commemorations.
