In Indonesia, nine people were killed and 40 injured in a wave of blasts including a suicide bombing outside churches in second-biggest city Surabaya today.
Police said, three separate locations were hit by the bombings around 7:30 AM. No one has claimed responsibility for the blasts so far.
At least one of the attackers was killed when they detonated their bomb at Santa Maria. Terror group Islamic state-inspired Jemaah Ansharut Daulah (JAD) is suspected to be behind the attacks.
Indonesia’s intelligence agency said the attacks are likely to be linked to a deadly prison hostage incident at a jail near Jakarta involving Islamist terrorists last week.
