In Afghanistan, at least 2 border policemen have been killed after an attack by a group of suicide bombers in the southern province of Kandahar.
Provincial police chief Gen Abdul Raziq said today’s attack targeted his house in the Spin Boldak district but that he was not home at the time. He said that two other attackers were killed later and one policeman injured during the gun battle with the Police force.
No one claimed responsibility for the attack but Taliban insurgents are active in southern Kandahar.
