
In Afghanistan, 5 policemen were killed and eight others injured after suicide bombers attacked the police headquarters in the eastern province of Paktia today.
Interior Ministry Spokesman Najibullah Danish said, a suicide car bomber first detonated his vehicle at the entrance and opened the way for other attackers to enter the compound. He said four attackers were shot dead by security forces.
Doctors at the city hospital said they had received the bodies of five policemen and 30 injured people, including 20 civilians.
Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack. In a statement sent to the media, Taliban claimed, more than 100 policemen were killed and several injured in the attack.
