In United States, an earthquake of 6.9 magnitudes on Richter scale shook Hawaii’s Big Island today, prompting fresh eruptions of a volcano that is threatening residential neighbourhoods.
The US Geological Survey said, the shallow temblor was centred on the south flank of the Kilauea volcano, which first erupted yesterday after a series of quakes on the island.
A whole town has been ordered to evacuate after the eruption of the Kilauea volcano caused lava to flow in residential areas, followed by earthquakes.
