
In China, six miners were killed in a flash flood at a coal mine in Shanxi Province. Quoting officials State-run news agency said, five miners were also rescued from the flooding in Dongyu Coal Mine near Taiyuan.
It said there were 11 miners when the flooding occurred yesterday. China, the world’s largest coal producer, witnesses frequent accidents at mines. In March, 17 miners were killed when a lift used to move workers collapsed in northeastern Heilongjiang province.
