In Nepal, Rashtriya Janta Party Nepal, RJPN leaders met Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba and demanded conducive environment for second phase of local elections.
RJPN leader Rajendra Mahato told media that they urged both the parties to abide by the agreement signed with them and create an environment to participate in the polls. Mr Mahato also said that his party would revive the stalled agitation if government fails to deliver on its promise.
RJPN was formed last month after the merger of 6 major Madhes parties to have a greater unity and achieve their objectives. The party did not take part in the first phase of local elections as it was demanding constitution amendment before polls.
