In Syria, at least 11 civilians including two children were killed today in air strikes on a market in northwestern part of the country.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said the strikes on the market in Idlib province’s Maaret al-Numan were probably carried out by regime forces.

Observatory head Rami Abdel Rahman said that at least 11 people were killed and around 20 injured in the air strikes.

According to the Observatory, Syrian regime and Russian forces have in recent weeks carried out air raids across the Idlib province after months of relative calm.
