In Paris, six soldiers were injured, two of them seriously when a car slammed into them outside Paris today.Paris police department said in a Tweet that the soldiers were on patrol in the northwestern suburb of Levallois-Perret.
Authorities said a security operation is underway in the area for the vehicle and driver .The incident in Levallois, is the latest of several attacks targeting security forces in France guarding sites after a string of deadly attacks.
The Mayor of Levallois, Patrick Balkany said it was a deliberate act targeting security forces. Police officials said a driver in a dark BMW is on the run after ramming his car into a large group of soldiers in what appeared to be a calculated ambush in a Paris suburb.
