At the World Para Athletics Championship 2025 held in New Delhi, India’s para-athletes have created new history on the global stage, powered by indomitable spirit and tireless effort. With their best-ever performance in this prestigious competition, the Indian contingent has brought glory to the nation by winning a total of 22 medals, including 6 Gold, 9 Silver, and 7 Bronze.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai extended heartfelt congratulations on the glorious performance of the Indian para-athletes, stating that this achievement is a source of inspiration for the entire nation. He said that our para-athletes have proved that when the resolve is firm and the effort is continuous, no goal is impossible. This performance is not only inspiring for the sports world but also instills new energy and confidence in every citizen of the country.
Chief Minister Shri Sai wished all the winning athletes a bright future, saying that their success is a living example of the “New Flight of New India.” He concluded that the entire country, including Chhattisgarh, is proud of its para-athletes who have written a new definition of the Indian spirit before the world.
