Ideals of Bhaktin Mata Rajim are exemplary for all societies: CM Sai

Raipur, January 7

Rajim is the confluence of Shaiv and Vaishnava traditions. It was at this holy place in Rajim that Lord Shri Ram established the idol of Kuleshwar Mahadev and worshiped him. This area is famous throughout the country due to the confluence of the Sondhur, Pari, and Mahanadi rivers. The city of Rajim is famous as the Prayagraj of Chhattisgarh. The Mahanadi flowing from here is called Papamochini Ganga. Rajim is named after Bhaktin Mata Rajim.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said this while addressing a program organized by the Sahu Samaj on the occasion of Bhaktin Mata Rajim Jayanti in Rajim.

Chief Minister Sai said that it is a matter of pride for all of us that we have gathered today in the land where Lord Shri Ram set his feet with Mother Sita. Mother Sita worshiped Mahadev here and established Kuleshwar Mahadev with sand. He said that the Sahu Samaj cherishes the memory of the sacrifice and penance that Bhaktin Mata Rajim had set as an example. Bhaktin Mata Rajim’s Jayanti promotes social unity and inspires us to follow her ideals. When the society is united, it also strengthens the state and the country. On this occasion, he announced Rs 5 crore for the establishment of a grand bronze statue of Bhaktin Mata in Rajim.

Chief Minister Sai said that the Sahu Samaj is a progressive society. This society is moving forward in business and industry along with agriculture. The Sahu Samaj is also preserving its heritage.

He said that Shri Narendra Modi Ji, the respected Prime Minister of the country, who works 18-18 hours for the welfare of 140 crore Indians by considering them as his family with the policy of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas, is the pride of your society.

Chief Minister Sai said that the grand Kumbh Kalp was started in Rajim during the time of the then Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh. The previous government had reduced its dignity. Our government has restored the dignity of the Rajim Kumbh Kalp. Last year, there was a congregation of saints from all over the country in the Rajim Kumbh. This year too, we are going to organize a grand Rajim Kumbh Kalp.

Chief Minister Sai said that a large number of mothers and sisters are present in the program. We have worked towards women empowerment through the Mahtari Vandana Yojana. Recently, the eleventh installment of this scheme has been transferred to the accounts of mothers and sisters. On the first of every month, the amount of this scheme goes to the mobile phones of mothers and sisters and their faces light up. This helps them in managing their budget. Whenever I discuss this with them, they are very happy to tell how much this scheme has changed their lives. It is truly felt that we are realizing Atal Ji’s dream of good governance in Chhattisgarh.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao said that during his visit to America, he saw how children of the Sahu Samaj in foreign countries are also flying the flag of Chhattisgarh. With their hard work and determination, the people of the Sahu Samaj are raising the name of the society in the country and the world. Union Minister of State Shri Thokhan Sahu said that the issuance of a postal stamp in the name of Bhakt Mata Karmas is a matter of pride for all of us. He said that Karma Mata dedicated her life to society, so it is necessary for all of us to adopt her thoughts and ideals so that the society can develop.
