Historic Success in Naxal Eradication in Bastar — Over 200 Maoist Cadres from Dandakaranya Region to Surrender

As a result of the state government’s comprehensive Naxal eradication policy and continuous strong strategic efforts, approximately 200 Maoist cadres from the Dandakaranya region, including senior hard-core cadres, have decided to abandon the path of violence and return to the social mainstream.
The formal reintegration ceremony for these surrendered Maoist cadres will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025, at 11:00 AM, at the Reserve Police Line, Jagdalpur (Bastar District). Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai and Deputy Chief Minister (Home Minister) Shri Vijay Sharma will be present at the event.
This decisive and historic development is a direct result of the state government’s policy under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, which has created an environment of trust and rehabilitation centered on peace, dialogue, and development.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said that the true strength of Bastar lies in the self-reliance, education, livelihood, and social respect of its people. The government’s policy, based on these values, has now carried a message of new hope and change even to the interior areas of Dandakaranya. This occasion will mark a decisive turning point in the direction of Naxal eradication in Bastar.
It is noteworthy that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, the government has not only taken concrete initiatives on the security front but has also prepared the foundation for lasting peace through development works related to education, health, roads, communication, and livelihood. This success is also a result of the strategic campaigns of the police and security forces, the coordinated efforts of the local administration, and the constructive participation of a vigilant society and public representatives.
