The Assam government will start Gunotsav program in health sector. Earlier, Gunotsav program was conducted in government schools. Informing this in the state assembly today, Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that under Gunotsav program, survey of government health institutes will be conducted in January next year.
The Minister said that it would help the government to know the manpower position and infrastructure facilities at hospitals. As per information received, earlier this year, Gunotsav was conducted at government primary schools .
