Govt approves creation of three posts of Directors for new AIIMS in AP, WB & Maharashtra

Government has approved creation of three posts of Directors for the three new AIIMS in Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal and Maharashtra. The Cabinet today approved the creation of three posts of Directors in the pre-revised scale of 80,000 rupees (fixed) for the three new AIIMS. The post will be immediately filled up following due procedures.

Cabinet has also been apprised of the Memorandum of Understanding between India and Palestine on Cooperation in the field of Information Technology and Electronics. The MoU intends to promote closer co-operation in the areas like e-Governance, m-Governance, e-Public Services Delivery, cyber security, software technology parks, and start-ups ecosystem. The MoU shall come into effect from date of signature of the parties and shall remain in force for a period of 5 years.

Government has also approved enhancement of the age of superannuation of Medical Officers of Central Armed Police Forces and Assam Rifles. It will help in retention of officers in Specialist and General Duty Medical Cadre thereby helping in better patient care, and effective implementation of National Health Programmes for delivery of health care services.

Cabinet has also been apprised of the MoU between India and Bangladesh on cyber security cooperation between Indian Computer Emergency Response Team and Bangladesh Government Computer Incident Response Team. The MoU was signed last April. It intends to promote cooperation between the two countries on exchange of information on Cyber attacks and cyber security incidents.
