Health Minister Jaiswal urges officials and doctors to serve public selflessly

Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal attended a two-day state-level review meeting of the Health Department held at the Circuit House auditorium in Civil Lines on Friday.
The review meeting, which began on Friday, will continue for two days. On the first day of the review meeting, the Health Minister reviewed the department’s work in detail.
Addressing the health department officials, Jaiswal said that all officers and doctors should work selflessly keeping in mind the health of the common people.
He said that under the direction of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, continuous efforts are being made to expand health facilities at the state level. Decisions like the construction of a super specialty hospital in Bilaspur at a cost of Rs 200 crore, an e-tender of Rs 231 crore for a new 700-bed integrated hospital building in Raipur’s Mekahara, an e-tender of Rs 120 crore for four new medical colleges, recruitment of more than 800 medical officers, specialist doctors and paramedical staff within a year through the National Health Mission, and teaching MBBS in Hindi in the state have strengthened health services in the state.
Giving necessary instructions to the health department officials for better operation and implementation of the schemes, Jaiswal said that the benefits of health services should be ensured to the common people. Senior departmental officers as well as officers from the districts were present in the departmental review meeting.
