Health Minister Jaiswal Inaugurates State-of-the-Art CT Scan Machine at Bemetara District Hospital

Raipur, August 22

The State Health and Family Welfare Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal today, during his visit to Bemetara, officially inaugurated a 32-slice CT scan machine installed at the district hospital at a cost of Rs. 4.49 crore. The minister performed a ceremonial worship and cut the ribbon to mark the opening of this advanced health facility. On this occasion, he extended his congratulations and best wishes to the residents of the district, calling this facility a significant boon for Bemetara and surrounding areas.

He informed that now patients will no longer have to travel outside the district for diagnosis of head injuries, brain tumors, stroke, heart and lung-related problems, stomach pain, intestinal issues, kidney stones, and other complex diseases. Accurate and timely diagnostic services will now be available locally at the district hospital at a low cost. While inspecting the CT scan room, Minister Jaiswal appreciated the quality of the machine and the arrangements made. He also inquired about the availability of radiologists, technicians, and other staff.

Minister Jaiswal said the state government’s objective is to provide accessible, affordable, and quality health services to the people of the state. The installation of the CT scan machine is an important step in that direction. On this occasion, Bemetara MLA Shri Dipesh Sahu, Saja MLA Shri Ishwar Sahu, CGMSC Chairman Shri Deepak Mhaskey, along with health department officials and public representatives, were also present.
