Health Minister Jaiswal conducted surprise inspections of medical hospital in Bastar

Minister Jaiswal instructed officials to implement the model of the ‘Annapurna’ kitchen across other districts

Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal conducted a surprise inspection of a Medical Hospital in Dimrapal and the Maharani District Hospital on September 6. He was on a tour of Bastar district. He inspected key areas, including the orthopaedic, paediatric, nursing room, and operation theatre (OT) at the Dimrapal’s Medical Hospital, as well as the OPD, paediatric ward, and Annapurna kitchen at Maharani District Hospital. While interacting with patients, the minister inquired about their health and the hospital’s quality of care. He also distributed fruits to children in the paediatric ward.
Minister Shri Jaiswal emphasised the need to maintain high standards of food quality for patients and suggested installing televisions in the waiting areas for their relatives. He instructed hospital officials to submit proposals for any additional resources required in the operation theatre. Furthermore, he recommended implementing the successful Annapurna kitchen model, currently operating at Maharani Hospital, in other districts.
Shri Jaiswal also directed the CG Medical Housing Board officials to resolve drainage issues in the bathrooms and kitchen of the medical hospital. During his inspection, he reviewed the hospital’s sanitation facilities and commended the cleanliness efforts.
