GST Reforms to Boost State and National Economy, Benefit Traders and Common Citizens: CM Sai

Representatives of various business associations from the state called on Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhavan, Nava Raipur today to express their gratitude for the recent reforms in GST. On the occasion, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said that GST has not only empowered the business community but also significantly increased transparency and tax collection. He added that this system would make India more competitive in global trade.
The Chief Minister said that GST, considered the biggest reform in India’s taxation system, is infusing new energy into trade and industry at both the state and national levels. He noted that the recent reforms in GST have brought major relief not only to industries and traders but also to common citizens.
He further stated that tax collection in Chhattisgarh has recorded remarkable growth, thereby making more resources available for development works. According to him, these reforms will help take the future economy to new heights.
The meeting was attended by Finance Minister O.P. Choudhary, Industries Minister Lakhan Lal Dewangan, Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Subodh Singh, Secretary to the Chief Minister Rahul Bhagat, along with representatives of various business organizations.
