Governor Ramen Deka honored the winners at main function in the capital

On the occasion of Republic Day 2025, 17 contingents of security forces marched past in sync at the Police Parade Ground.
Governor Shri Ramen Deka took the salute and was introduced to their commander. The parade commander was Shri Harshit Meher, an officer of the Indian Police Service under probation. In the Central Paramilitary Security Forces category, the Best Contingent first prize was awarded to Telangana Police with a cash prize of Rs 5,000. Similarly, the Indo-Tibetan Border Force was awarded the second position with a cash prize of Rs 3,000 and the Central Industrial Security Force was awarded the third prize with a cash prize of Rs 2,000. In the same order, the first prize for the Best Contingent in the State Police Force category was received by Chhattisgarh Armed Force Women, the second by Nagar Sena Women, and the third by Chhattisgarh Armed Force Men. All these winners were awarded a cash prize of Rs 5,000 for the first place, Rs 3,000 for the second place, and Rs 2,000 for the third place along with a trophy. Along with this, the Best Contingent first prize was received by NCC Boys and the second by NCC Girls. They were presented with a trophy as an encouragement prize.
In the march past, the Border Security Force, Central Reserve Police Force, Police Force, Indo-Tibetan Border Police, Central Industrial Security Force, Sashastra Seema Bal, Telangana Police, Nagar Sena Men and Women, NCC Girls and Boys, Equestrian Force, Band Platoon Police and Women Bagpiper Band captivated the audience present in the ground with their attractive march past.
The equestrian team was led by Platoon Commander Shri Yogesh Chandra. He has been posted in 3rd Vahini Chsbal Amleshwar Durg since 2016. After this, from 2017 to 2019, during his posting in STSF Baghera Durg, he worked in the highly Naxal-affected areas of district Sukma and Bijapur. He has been serving as the equestrian team in-charge since July 2024.
The women bagpiper band was led by Woman Constable 411, 20th Vahini Chsbal Mahasamund Smt. Sonbati Thakur. She has taken 06 months of bagpiper band training at Basic Training Center Panchkula, Haryana. It is noteworthy that the Chhattisgarh Bagpiper Band has secured the third position in the All India Band Competition held in Nagaland.
