Government Schemes Are Reaching the Common People: Sai

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai has instructed district collectors to ensure the swift resolution of public revenue-related issues. He emphasized the need for regular functioning of revenue courts and asked collectors to designate specific days for the same. Speaking at a review meeting with officials from Kabirdham, Bemetara, and Durg districts at the Durg district headquarters, following a surprise inspection and participation in a grievance redressal camp, the Chief Minister stated that he has visited 19 districts so far to assess the Su-Shasan Tihar (Good Governance Festival). Based on public feedback, he expressed pride that the government’s schemes are indeed reaching those for whom they were designed.
CM Sai urged all officials to work as a team to fulfill the goal of a developed Chhattisgarh. Addressing the officials, he appreciated their active participation and dedication during the Su-Shasan Tihar, acknowledging their commitment to resolving citizens’ grievances. “The improved rate of grievance redressal shows that we are genuinely working for good governance and public welfare,” he said, adding that numerous commendable initiatives have been undertaken over the past one and a half years, with positive responses from the people.
The Chief Minister reiterated that all government schemes are centered on public interest. “Good work always earns recognition,” he said, announcing that officers performing well will be rewarded, while those showing negligence in implementation will face strict accountability and action.
CM Sai also instructed immediate measures to resolve drinking water issues wherever present and called for early preparedness to combat seasonal monsoon diseases. He emphasized promoting water-efficient crops like pulses and oilseeds and encouraging farmers to adopt crop rotation to aid water conservation. He called for the continued organization of camps to resolve pending revenue cases.
He directed swift resolution of Aadhaar and e-KYC-related problems faced by beneficiaries of the Mahtari Vandan Yojana. Additionally, he asked for fast-tracking undisputed mutation cases and providing immediate relief to those affected by natural disasters. The CM also reviewed the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in detail, issuing specific directions on resolving housing-related applications received during Su-Shasan Tihar. He instructed all departments to coordinate interdepartmentally to complete pending road and government building construction projects within set timelines.
The Swamitva Yojana was also reviewed during the meeting, along with income-generation activities under the National Rural Livelihood Mission and training arrangements for Drone Didis. CM Sai emphasized providing robust training to Drone Didis so that women can become self-reliant through technology. He highlighted how the approval of a large number of housing units under PMAY has opened up employment opportunities for women, with many earning well by renting out shuttering plates for construction. He said all such possibilities for women’s empowerment must be continuously explored and supported.
Progress under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, institutional deliveries, deployment of skilled birth attendants, and the current status of sickle cell screening were also reviewed. CM Sai directed improvements in the quality of healthcare services and called for intensified awareness campaigns in rural areas. He emphasized ensuring that inlets of ponds and small water sources remain unblocked to facilitate effective rainwater harvesting and maintain groundwater levels.
The CM directed the effective implementation of laws under the new Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) to fully realize the concept of justice. He called for full and proper utilization of the technology-based provisions in the new laws to make the judicial process more transparent, swift, and effective. Noting a rise in crimes linked to substance abuse, he instructed strict and continuous action against such offenses. He also directed strong enforcement against drunk driving.
To enhance public safety, he ordered that all tenants must be registered with the local police and property owners must be held accountable. If landlords fail to report tenants, action will be taken against them. Additionally, he instructed officials to maintain a Village-Level Register to track criminal activities and suspects, ensuring continuity in intelligence when officers are transferred.
The meeting was attended by Deputy CM Shri Vijay Sharma, Food Minister Shri Dayal Das Baghel, MLAs Shri Domanlal Korsewada, Shri Lalit Chandrakar, Shri Gajendra Yadav, Shri Rikesh Sen, and Shri Ishwar Sahu, Chief Secretary Shri Amitabh Jain, Principal Secretary to CM Shri Subodh Kumar Singh, Secretary Shri P. Dayanand, Commissioner Shri S. N. Rathore, IG Shri R. G. Garg, and collectors, SPs, and senior officials of the three districts.
