From Guns to Growth: 24 Hardcore Naxalites Renounce Violence — “Government Fully Committed to Rehabilitation and Upliftment of Surrendered Naxalites”: CM Sai

The positive outcomes of the Chhattisgarh Government’s Effective Surrender and Rehabilitation Policy – 2025 and the ‘Niyad Nella Naar Yojana’ are now becoming evident. In a major development, 24 hardcore Naxalites with a collective bounty of ₹87.5 lakh have surrendered before security forces in Bijapur district, marking a historic decision to return to the mainstream of society. Among them, 20 Naxalites carried individual rewards ranging from ₹50,000 to ₹10 lakh.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the guidance of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, the complete eradication of Red Terror from the state and the nation is certain by March 2026. He added that this surrender is a crucial step in that decisive journey.
CM Sai emphasized that even Naxalites now realize that the path of violence leads only to endless destruction. They are choosing to abandon extremism and reintegrate into society. “We are fully committed to the rehabilitation and upliftment of these surrendered individuals,” the Chief Minister affirmed.
