Follow Traffic Rules While Driving – Chief Minister Sai

During the 36th National Road Safety Month being observed in the state, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai sent a strong message to residents about wearing helmets and following traffic rules by riding a bike with a helmet today.
The Chief Minister participated in a bike rally at Rohinipuram Gol Chowk in the capital, Raipur. He appealed to both two-wheeler and four-wheeler drivers to adhere to traffic rules.
Sai flagged off the grand bike rally with a green signal. During the rally, voluntary organizations performed street plays to raise awareness about the benefits of following traffic rules.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that human life is extremely valuable. He emphasized that everyone has responsibilities toward their family and society that they must fulfill. He stated, “We are invaluable to our families, and no one can replace us. Therefore, it is our duty to ensure our own safety and the safety of our loved ones.”
The Chief Minister urged everyone to strictly follow traffic rules while driving. He emphasized the importance of wearing helmets while riding two-wheelers and fastening seat belts when driving cars. Expressing concern over the deaths caused by road accidents every year, he called it a loss to the state and the nation. He noted that most accidents occur due to the violation of traffic rules.
Shri Sai highlighted that driving within a limited speed ensures better control over the vehicle and significantly reduces the likelihood of accidents. He also stressed the importance of never driving under the influence of alcohol. He encouraged all citizens to follow traffic rules to ensure not only their own safety but also the safety of others, thereby fulfilling their family and social responsibilities effectively.
It is noteworthy that the 36th National Road Safety Month is being observed until January 31, 2025. As part of this initiative, Raipur Traffic Police is educating people about essential rules for safe driving. Using engaging methods, banners, and posters themed around “Road Safety – Life Protection” have been displayed to spread awareness about traffic rules. Various programs are being organized at different locations on different days, involving drivers, local citizens, and parents of students.
The event saw the participation of dignitaries, including Collector Dr. Gaurav Singh, Senior Superintendent of Police Shri Lal Ummed Singh, senior officials from the police and transport departments, and a large number of citizens.
