Focus on the Roadmap of a ‘Developed Chhattisgarh’: Vishnu Deo Sai

Raipur, May 31

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai gave the mantra of a ‘Developed Chhattisgarh’ during a review meeting held today in Dhamtari. He stated that the vision document prepared for a ‘Developed Chhattisgarh’ serves as a roadmap with clear goals and guidelines. Officials must work with full dedication and responsibility to realize this vision. The Chief Minister was reviewing the implementation status of government schemes in Raipur and Dhamtari districts.

On the conclusion of the Good Governance Festival (Sushasan Tihar), the Chief Minister emphasized that the process of addressing public grievances should not come to a halt. Continuous dialogue with citizens and resolution of their issues must persist. He instructed officials to resolve public issues through hard work and innovative approaches. “Delayed justice is no justice,” he said. He pointed out that mistakes in tasks like correcting revenue errors are often due to officials and staff, yet the public suffers the consequences.

He urged the promotion of digital governance in the revenue department and stressed the importance of time management. He noted that areas with proactive Tehsildars see fewer pending revenue cases. He also directed officers to maintain good behavior with the public and ensure high-quality, timely completion of their tasks.

Focus on Flagship Schemes
The Chief Minister directed officials to prioritize flagship schemes of the Central and State governments, such as the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PM Crop Insurance Scheme), PM Awas Yojana, and the Jal Jeevan Mission. He noted that Chhattisgarh has been ranked the second-best state at the national level for effective implementation of the crop insurance scheme. Following the directions of Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the NITI Aayog meeting, the Chief Minister also instructed officials to explore tourism development opportunities in Dhamtari and Raipur.

Emphasis on Education, Health, and Agriculture
The Chief Minister instructed officials to improve the quality of education in the district. Citing Dantewada as an example, he noted that excellent performance by the DEO there led to impressive results in classes 10 and 12, which were acknowledged by the Prime Minister in his ‘Mann Ki Baat’ radio program. He called for continuous monitoring and adequate resource availability in the health sector, and stressed the need for preparation of Kharif crops and adoption of modern technologies in agriculture, especially in the agrarian districts of Dhamtari and Raipur.

Ensure Benefits Reach the Last Person
The Chief Minister strongly emphasized that government schemes must reach the last person without any hindrance. He encouraged officials to share the challenges they face in achieving departmental goals, so that necessary support can be provided at the state level. He also mentioned that the performance of officers is under continuous monitoring and that he personally has the “report card” of every district. He congratulated officials for resolving a large number of public applications in a timely manner during the Good Governance Festival. He also warned that while good work will be rewarded, non-performance will not be tolerated.
