During the ongoing GST Savings Festival, Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai made a surprise visit to a tractor showroom in Devpuri, Raipur. At the venue, he warmly interacted with farmers, listening to their experiences and feedback on the benefits of the recent GST cuts and how much they had saved on purchases. The CM also personally handed over keys of new tractors and harvesters to the farmers and extended his best wishes.

Mr. Sai handed over the keys of a new harvester to Mr. Ravi Kumar Sahu, a farmer from Biroda, Abhanpur. Expressing his joy, Mr. Sahu said,

“I never imagined in my dreams that I could buy a new harvester. I was planning to get a second-hand one. But thanks to the GST cuts, I saved ₹2 lakh on my new harvester. Only a sensitive Prime Minister like Mr. Narendra Modi and a farmer-friendly Chief Minister like Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai could have made this possible. The CM himself handed me the keys and spoke with me in such a heartfelt way. I told him I own two acres of land, and with this harvester, I can now take on more farming in partnership with others in my village.”
He expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister for the GST reform.

The Chief Minister also handed over keys to Mr. Gyanik Ram Sahu, a senior farmer from Kolar, Abhanpur, who had just bought a new tractor. Mr. Sahu shared that the GST cut helped him save ₹60,000 on the purchase. He added,

“With this saving, our family will be able to celebrate the festival season more joyfully.”

Mr. Ashok Agrawal, proprietor of the tractor showroom, told the Chief Minister that the GST reduction has boosted sales and increased customer enthusiasm.
He explained,

“Earlier, a tractor that cost ₹10.25 lakh is now available for ₹9.75 lakh, saving farmers ₹50,000. Similarly, tractors priced at ₹7.62 lakh and ₹6.51 lakh are now available for ₹7.21 lakh and ₹6.11 lakh respectively. Along with festive discounts, farmers are making big savings. Even harvesters have become more affordable due to the reduced GST rates.”

GST Cut Also Leads to ₹7,000 Savings on Bike Purchase

Afterward, CM Sai visited a Bajaj bike showroom in Devpuri and spoke personally with customers about the impact of GST cuts. He handed over the keys of a new bike to Mr. M.D. Gulab, a resident of Santoshi Nagar. Mr. Gulab shared,

“Thanks to the GST cut, I saved ₹7,000 on my bike purchase. I bought a Bajaj Platina 110cc, which earlier cost ₹89,000 and now I got it for ₹82,000.”

CM Vishnu Deo Sai remarked that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the implementation of GST 2.0 has provided real relief to the public, especially farmers and consumers.
He said the reduction in prices of tractors, harvesters, and other agricultural machinery has directly benefited farmers, making farming and daily life easier.
He added,

“This GST Savings Festival has reduced the burden on consumers and brought more happiness to families during the festive season. These reforms are not just boosting economic activities but also creating a renewed sense of enthusiasm and prosperity in both rural and urban areas.”
