Tamil Nadu Farmers Praise Chhattisgarh Government’s Policy

During the meeting, the farmers from Tamil Nadu appreciated the Chhattisgarh Government’s policy of offering the highest paddy prices in the country. They said that the paddy procurement policy at the rate of ₹3100 per quintal is exemplary for the farmers. They described this initiative as a historic step towards the economic empowerment of farmers, stating that when farmers get a fair price for their produce, they are not only motivated to produce more but can also view farming as a sustainable livelihood.

The General Secretary of the Association, Shri Swamimalai Sundar Vimalnathan, praised the Chief Minister’s policy, saying that a fair support price reassures farmers that their hard work will be justly rewarded. When the price matches the production costs, farmers can cultivate fearlessly and improve their livelihoods. This step by Chhattisgarh could set a benchmark for the entire nation.

Chief Minister’s Commitment to Farmers’ Welfare

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, while interacting with the farmers, emphasized that the Chhattisgarh Government is committed to ensuring that farmers benefit fully from their hard work. Thanks to farmer-friendly policies, paddy production in the state has reached approximately 1.5 lakh metric tons, marking a significant achievement in the state’s agricultural sector.
