On the occasion of World Radio Day on 13 February, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai extended his warm greetings to the people of Chhattisgarh, emphasizing the enduring significance of radio as a vital medium of communication. He highlighted that radio remains one of the most effective, reliable, and widely accessible platforms, providing information, education, and entertainment while also playing a crucial role in preserving folk culture and local languages.
Reflecting on the evolving media landscape, Chief Minister Shri Sai underscored that radio continues to be relevant even in the digital age, bridging communication gaps and ensuring that information reaches every section of society. He further noted that in Chhattisgarh, radio serves as a powerful conduit for disseminating government policies and initiatives, fostering public awareness and social empowerment, particularly in remote and rural areas where access to other forms of media remains limited.
“Radio is not just a means of broadcasting; it is a bridge that connects people, communities, and cultures. Its ability to reach the farthest corners of the state makes it an indispensable tool for governance, education, and social transformation,” Chief Minister Shri Sai remarked.
He reaffirmed the state government’s endeavor to leveraging radio as an instrument of positive change, ensuring that it continues to serve as a catalyst for knowledge, empowerment, and cultural enrichment.
