Information and Broadcasting Minister Smriti Irani has said that the government is aiming to set up within two months a single-window clearance system for filmmakers to facilitate all types of clearances faster and under one roof.

In a conversation with filmmaker Karan Johar at the inaugural session of FICCI Frames 2018 in Mumbai yesterday, Mrs Irani the government is aiming to bring organisations like National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) and Children’s Film Society of India (CSFI) under one umbrella so that a filmmaker with an idea does not have to run from one desk to another to get the support for executing a film.
