The nation has been waiting for its most loved show on the television the sequel of Diya Aur Baati Hum, ‘Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh Piyaji. The iconic show, Diya Aur Baati Hum was a big hit with the audiences and went onto create a history when a lane in the town of Pushkar, Rajasthan was renamed after Hanuman Galli.
The sequel of the show will retain the two iconic characters of season 1 – Bhabho & Meenakshi played by Neelu Vaghela & Kanika Mahehwari. Known for her interesting character of Meenakshi from season 1, actress Kanika plans to add her own flavor in the show this time.
“Meenakshi became a popular character from season 1 and fans now recognize or idolize me with that character. For the sequel of the show Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh Piyaji I planned to add my own flavor and dialogues for my character which makes it even more engaging and interesting for the viewers. Meenakshi has just aged on screen but her dialogue-baazi, Nok-Jhok with Bhabho and jealousy over her sister in law’s children remain the same. To portray the same I add my own one liners in between the scenes to make it look more interesting and make audiences feel that their Meenakshi has not changed at all.” Said Kanika Maheshwari.
