Ensure Prompt Compliance with Chief Minister’s Directives: Chief Secretary Review of Departmental Work with Secretaries in High-Level Meeting

Chief Secretary Shri Vikas Sheel said that prompt and effective compliance with the instructions given by Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai during the Collectors’ Conference must be ensured. He directed all departmental secretaries to prepare solid action plans for priority sectors including roads, drinking water, electricity, and health. The Chief Secretary was reviewing the progress of scheme implementation with the Secretaries In-charge of various departments in a high-level meeting organized today at the Ministry (Mahanadi Bhavan).
During the meeting, the Chief Secretary sought detailed information on the action plans of the departments included in the Pradhan Mantri Gati Shakti Scheme. He directed that the works for which foundation stones have been laid should be completed within the stipulated time frame and their inauguration should be ensured.
In the meeting, Shri Rajat Kumar, Secretary of the Commerce and Industry Department, gave a presentation on the Pradhan Mantri Gati Shakti Scheme and the procedure for government purchases being made through the GeM Portal. Similarly, Dr. Ravi Mittal, Joint Secretary to the Chief Minister and Commissioner of Public Relations, gave a detailed presentation on the activities related to the publicity and dissemination of government schemes by the Public Relations Department.
The meeting was attended by Additional Chief Secretary Home and Jail Shri Manoj Kumar Pingua, Additional Chief Secretary Forest and Climate Change Department Smt. Richa Sharma, Principal Secretary Tribal and Scheduled Caste Development Department Shri Sonmani Bora, Principal Secretary Panchayat and Rural Development Department Smt. Niharika Barik, along with the secretaries of all departments.
