Elimination of Anti-People Maoist Ideology through ‘Poona Margem,’ Peace Being Established in Bastar: Sai
Raipur, October 26
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said that the end of Maoism in Chhattisgarh is now progressing towards becoming a reality. People-centric initiatives like “Poona Margem – From Rehabilitation to Rejuvenation” have brought a new wave of peace and trust to Bastar.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the surrender of 21 Naxalites today in Kanker district, who abandoned the path of violence, is strong proof of the success of the state’s ongoing “Surrender and Rehabilitation Policy – 2025” and the “Niyad Nellanar Yojana” (a local initiative).
The Chief Minister stated that the youth who were misguided by the false and deceptive ideology of Maoism are now beginning to understand that the path of development, not the gun, is the right choice for the future. The government is fully committed to the rehabilitation, retraining, and social reintegration of these surrendered Naxalites so that they can join the mainstream and live a dignified life in society.
The Chief Minister said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji and the leadership of Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah ji, the Chhattisgarh government has won the trust of the people of Bastar. This is why Maoist organizations are rapidly weakening, and a large number of people are abandoning the path of violence to embrace peace.
The Chief Minister said that Naxalism’s backbone is now broken in the Bastar region, and the area is swiftly moving towards peace, development, and empowerment. He mentioned that the goal of the Double Engine government is to make India Naxal-free by March 31, 2026, and Chhattisgarh is rapidly advancing in this direction.
