Minister of State for Human Resources Development Upendra Kushwaha today conferred CBSE Teacher Awards 2016-17 to 33 teachers of various independent schools across the country for their distinguished contribution towards raising the standards of education. Award comprises of 50 thousand rupees in cash and a shawl.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Kushwaha said, teachers play a great role in child’s overall development and only they can eradicate social evils from the society. He said ,teachers perform their duties with great deal of dedication and innovative techniques of pedagogy.
The Minister said, behind the success of any person there must have been the efforts of at least a teacher therefore their importance in one’s life can not be undermined.
He said , the ministry is committed to address their grievances.
