IIM Ranchi has completed the Summer Placements for its MBA and MBA-HR Programmes (2020-22). The season has witnessed participation by 134 companies for 329 students (256 and 73 in MBA and MBA-HR respectively).
All the students have secured summer-internship assignments through campus recruitment programmes except two, who had secured off-campus internship offers and chose to opt-out from the programme. The average stipend for the MBA Batch has an increment of approximately 02 per cent over the previous year and stands at INR 97,502/.
Average stipend for the MBA-HR Batch is INR 1,00,694/, which is again higher than the last year. The average stipend for the top 25 percent of the MBA Batch is INR 1,96,950/ and that for the MBA-HR Batch is INR 1,93,071/. The increment in the batch size for MBA programme 2020-22 is 25.12 per cent compared to that of the previous batch, mentioned a press release today.
Internships broadly cover the functional areas of Sales & Marketing, Finance, Operations & General Management, IT & Analytics, Strategy & Consulting, and Human Resource Management. Of these, the students of MBA have been offered diverse roles in Business Development and Strategy, Campaign Management, Equity Research, Corporate Finance, Supply Chain Management, Operations Analytics, Strategic Sourcing, Product Analyst and Business Analyst, among many others. For the MBA-HR Batch, internships are in the domains of Industrial Relations, HR Consultancy, HR Analytics, Talent Acquisition, and HR Generalist, added the press release.
Legacy recruiters including Aditya Birla Capital, Asian Paints, Britannia, Capgemini, Cognizant, Cummins, DE Shaw, Deloitte, Emami Agrotech, Flipkart, Google, ICICI Bank, JP Morgan & Chase, L&T, LatentView Analytics, ICICI Lombard, Samsung, SIDBI, Tata Steel, Titan, UltraTech, Volvo, Wipro CCL, Yes Bank and many more have continued their faith in IIM Ranchi. In addition to these prominent recruiters, the trust of corporates in IIM Ranchi’s talent has been strengthened with 93 first-time recruiters associating with the Institute. Organizations like, Aviva India, BPCL, Cisco, DCM Shriram, Epik InDifi, IMF Sureti, Jio Saavn, Lubrizol, Noon Academy, Pahal Financial Services, Red Fort Capital, Tata Steel Long Products, Trariti Consulting and the likes have recruited students of IIM Ranchi for the first time for their summer internship programmes, stated the press release.
