Education Department Officials Should Give Top Priority to Teaching: Minister Gajendra Yadav

Minister for School Education, Village Industries, Law, and Legislative Affairs, Mr. Gajendra Yadav, stated that educating children and providing quality education is the government’s highest priority. He directed the officials to pay special attention to the quality of teaching in schools and to make teaching the focal point of the department’s working mechanism. Mr. Yadav was addressing a review meeting of the School Education Department today at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan. He emphasized that the future of society and the state is secured through education, and therefore, regular monitoring of teaching in schools is the responsibility of every education department official.

In-Depth Knowledge of School Conditions is Essential

Mr. Yadav told the education department officials that they must have complete and up-to-date information about the condition of every school in their area. For this, schools should be regularly inspected, and continuous communication should be maintained with principals, headmasters, and teachers. He noted that only through the activeness and accountability of officials can the quality of education in schools be ensured.

Annual Calendar for Teacher Training to Be Prepared

The Education Minister directed officials to ensure the preparation of an annual calendar for teacher training. He instructed that training programs should be held during the summer vacation period so that regular teaching in schools is not disrupted. He also stressed that during training, it is necessary to acquaint teachers with new techniques, innovations, and modern teaching methods.

Emphasis on Coordination in Departmental Work

Mr. Yadav clearly stated that all officials associated with the education department should work with mutual coordination and team spirit. He added that departmental schemes and programs can only be made effective when officers, teachers, and school management work together with a shared vision.

During the meeting, School Education Department Secretary Mr. Siddharth Komal Pardeshi provided details about the department’s structure, schemes, and programs through a PowerPoint presentation. Discussions were also held on major ongoing schemes and their progress. Chairperson of the Board of Secondary Education, Ms. Renu G. Pille, was also present on the occasion. Senior officials from Samagra Shiksha, SCERT, Board of Secondary Education, Textbook Corporation, Madrasa Board, Directorate of Public Instruction, Sanskrit Vidya Mandalam, Scouts-Guides, NCC, and other offices under the School Education Department presented information on departmental activities in their respective areas.
