Economic Reforms of Prime Minister Modi Have Made India the Fifth-Largest Economy in the World: CM Sai

Due to the comprehensive economic reforms implemented by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India has now become the fifth-largest economy in the world. GST and tax reforms have simplified the tax system and strengthened revenue collection. Chartered accountants are playing a key role in India’s growth journey, and their involvement will also be crucial in achieving the goal of Developed India 2047.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai made these remarks today while addressing the National Workshop on ‘National Conference on Bank Audit and AI’ organized by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) in the state capital Raipur. On this occasion, he also unveiled the special logo of CA Chhattisgarh.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the Biggest Tool for the Future

Chief Minister Shri Sai stated that intellectuals are always the first to adopt new technologies, and AI is one such game-changing technology. He acknowledged that AI will not only empower the CA profession but also enhance the quality and speed of work in this field. He also shed light on the possibilities and challenges associated with AI.

The Chief Minister described the establishment of ICAI as a historic achievement for the Indian accounting sector, stating that the institution, which began in 1949 with 1,600 members, has now grown into a strong organization with over 4 lakh members fulfilling economic responsibilities across the country.

New Industrial Policy Boosts Investment, State Receives Investment Proposals Over 4 Lakh Crores

Chief Minister Shri Sai discussed Chhattisgarh’s new industrial policy, noting that it is attractive to investors and takes into account all sections of society. Investment proposals worth over 4 lakh crore rupees have already been received. He mentioned that the availability of rare minerals like lithium and the establishment of the semiconductor industry in the state will give a new boost to the economy. He stated that in the past 15 months, the state government has made several visionary decisions, which have led to rapid development and increased employment opportunities. The effective implementation of welfare schemes is also playing a key role in the economic empowerment of citizens.

Chhattisgarh Vision Document 2047: The State’s Significant Role in Developed India

While referencing the Chhattisgarh Vision Document 2047, Chief Minister Shri Sai emphasized that Chhattisgarh will play a leading role in the construction of a Developed India. More than 3,000 chartered accountants from the state will be active participants in this vision.

ICAI National President Shri Charanjot Singh Nanda provided insights into the journey of the institute from its establishment in 1949 to the present day. He also highlighted the challenges and responsibilities associated with the work of chartered accountants and assured that CA professionals across the country will contribute significantly to realizing Prime Minister Modi’s dream of a Developed India 2047.

On this occasion, State Media In-Charge CA Shri Amit Chimnani, CA Shri Pankaj Shah, CA Shri Abhay Chhajed, CA Shri Vikas Golcha, along with members from ICAI’s Raipur, Bhilai, Bilaspur, and Raigarh branches, were present.
