Called upon people to kill Ravana in the form of lust, anger, pride, greed

Dussehra is the festival of victory of truth over falsehood and good over evil, said Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai.
“We kill Ravana every year, but this festival is meaningful only when we kill the Ravana in the form of lust, anger, pride, greed, which is in our mind,” said the CM while addressing a Ravan Dahan programme in Raipur’s WRS Colony.
The Chief Minister said that whatever evil is there in the form of Ravana in Chhattisgarh, the city of Mother Kaushalya and the maternal home of nephew Shri Ram, we all have to take a pledge to remove it together. On this occasion, the Chief Minister burnt the huge effigies of Ravana, Kumbhkaran and Meghnath by pressing the remote button amid the cheers of Lord Shri Ram.
While extending the greeting of Vijayadashmi, the Chief Minister said that the Ravana Vadh program has been organized in WRS Colony for the last 53 years. This year’s program is special for all of us because after 500 years, Chhattisgarh’s nephew Lord Shri Ram has been installed in a grand temple. This is a matter of pride and happiness for all of us.
The Ravana Vadh program was organized in a traditional manner. On this occasion, the war saga of Lord Ram and Ravana was staged and in the end, the message of victory of good over evil was given by burning the huge effigy of Ravana. There was an atmosphere of fireworks and celebration at the venue. After the burning of Ravana, the people present congratulated each other on Vijayadashmi with joy.
The program was also addressed by Raipur North MLA Shri Purandar Mishra. On this occasion, former MLA Mr Kuldeep Singh Juneja, Mr Jayanti Bhai Patel, Mr Toshendra Dev Sai, Organizing Committee Chief Mr G. Swamy, Collector Mr Gaurav Kumar Singh, SSP Mr Santosh Singh, Organizing Committee Chief officials and thousands of people were present.
