Due to bravery and sacrifices of the soldiers, we are free and secure today: CM

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, while saluting the martyrs and all soldiers engaged in the service of the nation on Armed Forces Flag Day, stated that this day provides us an opportunity to express our gratitude to the brave soldiers and their families, who sacrificed their lives for the security and integrity of the nation. It is because of the valor and sacrifices of these brave soldiers that we are free and living a secure life today.
He appealed to the people of the state to show respect for the nation’s armed forces, ex-servicemen, and martyrs, and contribute as much as possible to the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund. The Chief Minister said that Armed Forces Flag Day reminds us of our responsibilities towards the families of our brave soldiers and ex-servicemen.
The Chief Minister further urged everyone to actively participate in Flag Day. The funds raised on Flag Day are used for the welfare schemes of our soldiers and their families. I request you all to take part in this and contribute to the service of the nation.
On the occasion of Armed Forces Flag Day, Director of Soldier Welfare, Chhattisgarh, Brigadier Shri Vivek Sharma, met the Chief Minister at his residence office and wished him the best for Armed Forces Flag Day by pinning a lapel pin on him. The Chief Minister contributed to the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund for the welfare of ex-servicemen and martyrs’ families. On this occasion, the Chief Minister’s Secretary Shri Rahul Bhagat was also present.
The Chief Minister said that our armed forces not only protect the borders of the country but also stand with us in times of natural disasters, internal crises, and humanitarian emergencies. The valor and dedication of our soldiers have kept the country secure in every circumstance. Brigadier Shri Vivek Sharma mentioned that 27 welfare schemes are being run with the funds from Armed Forces Flag Day. This year, a sum of 1 crore 5 lakh rupees has been distributed under various schemes to the families of soldiers and martyrs.
