Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai stated that the state government’s new surrender and rehabilitation policy for 2025, along with the Niyad Nella Nara Yojana, has instilled new hope across the Bastar region, including Dantewada. People who were misled by the false slogans of Maoist violence are now choosing the path of development and peace.
The Chief Minister mentioned that due to the ongoing Puna Margem campaign in the Bastar division and the Lon Warratu campaign in Dantewada district, 71 Naxalites recently surrendered. Among them, 30 Naxalites had bounties ranging from ₹50,000 to ₹8 lakh, totaling ₹64 lakh in rewards. He said that such a large number of surrenders is a direct proof of the effectiveness of our policies and the public’s trust.
Shri Vishnu Dev Sai further stated that the surrendered Naxalites have been given incentive checks of ₹50,000 each to help them start a better life. Additionally, they will be provided all necessary facilities under the Naxal Eradication Policy.
He added that due to the welfare schemes of our government and the trustworthy environment, more than 1,770 Maoists have joined the mainstream so far. The double-engine government’s commitment is to completely eradicate Naxalism by 31st March 2026, and to provide a dignified rehabilitation and better life to those who have surrendered.
The Chief Minister concluded by saying that Bastar is changing, and the darkness of Naxalism is fading away. This transformation is a strong signal of Bastar’s bright future and its steady steps toward peace.
