Districts with Good Performance to Receive Awards: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai today reviewed the implementation of government schemes in the districts of Sarguja, Balrampur-Ramanujganj, and Jashpur during the Good Governance Festival in Ambikapur. During the review, he gave clear instructions to officials, stating that districts which efficiently implement people-centric government schemes will be rewarded.

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai appealed to officials to work with team spirit and contribute towards building a developed Chhattisgarh by 2047. He said that in the first phase of the Good Governance Festival, about 4 million applications were received from across the state, which were addressed in the second phase. Now, in the third phase, officials are personally visiting districts to interact directly with the public.

Officials Must Be Accountable to the People

The Chief Minister instructed the collectors, police superintendents, and other officials of the three districts that they are servants of the people and responsible for timely resolution of problems. He directed officials to conduct regular field visits, share in the joys and sorrows of the people, and stop giving unnecessary adjournments in complaint hearings. He emphasized that revenue-related cases should be resolved within deadlines. Strict action must be taken against illegal sand mining.

Special Focus on Basic Needs

The Chief Minister stressed the proper provision of drinking water. In case of any drinking water crisis, immediate solutions must be implemented. He called for arrangements to protect water sources and prevent ponds from drying up in rural areas. Additionally, he directed special monitoring to ensure farmers do not face shortages of fertilizers and seeds before the onset of the rains. The Chief Minister also instructed special attention and regular reviews of the quality of roads constructed under the Prime Minister Janman Yojana, PM housing schemes, and various ongoing construction works in the districts.

Instructions for Health Service Preparations

Considering the possibility of seasonal diseases and snakebite incidents during summer and monsoon, the Chief Minister directed all hospitals and health centers to ensure availability of medicines and anti-snake venom.

Strict Action on Forest Rights and Encroachment Issues

Chief Minister Sai instructed that the review of forest rights pattas (land titles) be jointly conducted by the Revenue, Tribal Development, and Forest Departments, ensuring pattas are granted only to eligible beneficiaries. He ordered strict action against illegal patta holders and encroachers. He also directed identification and action against those illegally residing in border districts.

The review meeting was attended by Agriculture Minister Ram Vichar Netam, Finance Minister O.P. Chaudhary, Women and Child Development Minister Laxmi Rajwade, Sarguja MP Chintamani Maharaj, MLAs Rajesh Agrawal, Prabodh Minj, Ram Kumar Toppo, Bhaiyalal Rajwade, Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain, Chief Minister’s Principal Secretary Subodh Singh, Sarguja Commissioner Narendra Dugga, Sarguja IG Deepak Jha, and officials from the districts of Sarguja, Balrampur-Ramanujganj, and Jashpur.
