Digital Governance Model to Empower Citizens in Chhattisgarh: CM Sai

Raipur, January 8
“We have adopted a digital governance model to make citizen services in Chhattisgarh easier and more accessible. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said that through the Swamitva card, a big problem of rural people residing on the inhabited land in rural areas is being solved today. These people are getting firm documents of ownership on the inhabited land. Due to the lack of documents, cases often used to remain pending in the courts for years in case of disputes. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi understood this problem and motivated to use technology to solve it.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that if India has to become a superpower, then India will have to be technologically capable. Our government in Chhattisgarh has adopted digital governance at every level. For the ease of people in registration and for a transparent process, we have developed a Sugama app. We are also working on digitization of documents. The drone survey that we conducted for the Swamitva scheme has prepared an updated map of the inhabited land for us, which will give us many benefits.

When there is such sensitivity in the mind, then a scheme like PM Janman comes into existence. Within a year, the light of development has spread in the settlements of the Kamar tribe through the Pradhan Mantri Janman Yojana. We have built 36 roads at a cost of around Rs 47 crore. Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Dhamtari district has received the special gift of the Chitrautpala Mahanadi. Dhamtari district has always been a leader in the field of agriculture. Farmer brothers are taking a good crop by working hard. Apart from paddy, they are also taking pulses and oilseeds crops. An initiative has been taken to save every drop of water.

Chhattisgarh is getting the best price for farmers through the purchase of paddy at Rs 3100 per quintal and 21 quintals per acre. So far, we have purchased about 106 lakh metric tonnes of paddy from more than 20 lakh farmers in the state. So far, we have paid more than Rs 23 thousand crore to the farmer brothers.
