Devangan Community Has a Significant Role in the Development of Chhattisgarh: CM Sai

Addressing the Devangan community’s Mahakumbh at Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium in Raipur today, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said that the Devangan community is hardworking and prosperous. He noted that the community is playing an important role in the development of Chhattisgarh through advanced farming and entrepreneurship.

He added that the community is not only leading in agriculture and business but is also educated and well-organized. Members of the community have made their mark in education, culture, arts, agriculture, and trade. The Chief Minister emphasized that the community should have a vital role in realizing the vision of a developed Chhattisgarh.

The Chief Minister further stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the country is progressing. “Modi’s guarantee means the guarantee will be fulfilled,” he said. In the last one and a half years, most promises made by the government have been fulfilled. One of the first decisions taken after forming the government in Chhattisgarh was the approval of more than 1.8 million housing units.

To empower women in the state, financial support is being provided through the Mahtari Vandana Yojana. This initiative is enabling women to become self-reliant and increase their income through activities like sewing, embroidery, and vegetable production.

He highlighted that to address public demands, complaints, and suggestions, the government organized a statewide Good Governance Festival (Sushasan Tihar). During this program, ministers and senior officials interacted directly with the people to listen and resolve issues. The campaign covered both remote forested areas and plains. The Chief Minister himself visited all 33 districts of Chhattisgarh and monitored the implementation of government schemes at the grassroots level. Over 4.1 million applications were received during the three-phase Sushasan Tihar, and resolutions have been provided. He affirmed that the government has succeeded in establishing good governance and is closing all channels of corruption to ensure equal opportunities for all.

Chief Minister Sai also said that the government is moving rapidly toward administrative transparency and digital governance. Now, after land registration, mutation (name transfer) is done immediately, providing great relief to citizens. Most processes are being moved online to curb corruption.

He pointed out that the state’s current industrial policy is receiving national recognition. Chhattisgarh has received investment proposals worth over ₹5.5 lakh crore. Work has already begun on a semiconductor plant in Nava Raipur. With industrial development, the state has also arranged skill training for the youth, creating local employment opportunities.

The event was also addressed by Industry Minister Shri Lakhan Lal Devangan and MLA Shri Kiran Dev. State President of the Devangan Community Shri Pradeep Devangan welcomed the guests and highlighted the purpose of the Devangan Mahakumbh. A special book on the event was also released.

On this occasion, MLA Shri Moti Lal Sahu, Shri Purandar Mishra, community leaders, and a large number of people were present.
