Dev Sai Performs Groundbreaking Ceremony for Late Jagdev Ram Urang Welfare Ashram Hospital

Raipur, April 7
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai today performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the ⁵ Chief Minister paid floral tributes to the photographs of Lord Shri Ram, Bharat Mata, Birsa Munda, Late Jagdev Ram Urang, and Late Balasaheb Deshpande, and offered his respects. Alongside, Shri Sai also launched the ‘Sevankur Bharat: A Week for the Nation’ program and appreciated the service activities being carried out in tribal areas under this initiative.
On this occasion, Shri Ravishankar, General Manager of NTPC Lara, handed over a cheque of ₹35.53 crore to Collector Shri Rohit Vyas for the construction of the Jagdev Ram Urang Welfare Ashram Hospital.
The Chief Minister recalled the contributions of Late Jagdev Ram Urang, Late Balasaheb Deshpande, and Late Kumar Dilip Singh Judev in the service work and development of tribal people in these regions. He stated that the construction of the Jagdev Ram Urang Welfare Ashram Hospital reflects our deep commitment to the health and welfare of human society. ₹35.53 crore has been allocated from NTPC Lara’s CSR fund for this hospital, and its completion will benefit the residents of Jashpur and nearby rural areas.
The Chief Minister mentioned that in this year’s budget, provisions have been made for setting up a medical college, government physiotherapy college, government nursing college, and a naturopathy center in Jashpur district. He added that most of Prime Minister Modi’s guarantees have been fulfilled during this government’s tenure. In the first Cabinet meeting, 18 lakh approvals under the Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme were granted. Through the Mahatari Vandan Yojana, ₹1,000 is provided monthly to empower women. The price of one standard sack of tendu leaves has been fixed at ₹5500. Development of special backward tribes is being carried out under the PM Janman Yojana. Development work in tribal areas is being done under the Earth Aba Tribal Village Utkarsa Yojana and Niyad Nella Nar Yojana for Naxal-affected villages in Bastar.
Jagdev Ram Urang Welfare Ashram Hospital to Be Equipped with State-of-the-Art Facilities
The Jagdev Ram Urang Welfare Ashram Hospital will be equipped with modern facilities. The hospital, with 100 beds, will have 15 OPDs, 4 ICUs, 4 operation theaters, physiotherapy, pathology lab, CT scan, dialysis, X-ray, emergency ward, MRI, ECG, and other amenities.
‘Sevankur Bharat: A Week for the Nation’ is Working in Tribal Areas
‘Sevankur Bharat: A Week for the Nation’ is being celebrated from 5th to 13th April. Sevankur Bharat is a service-oriented organization that includes doctors and other medical professionals working in tribal areas, setting up medical camps to treat people and provide other medical services. The organization has 18 groups, each with 15 to 16 members. Since 2016, Sevankur Bharat has been serving in tribal areas every year under the program ‘A Week for the Nation,’ inspiring new doctors to engage in social work. Additionally, the organization visits tribal homes to study their culture and lifestyle to better understand their healthcare needs.
