Deputy CM Sao performs Bhoomi Pujan of development works Rs 14.26 crore in Risali

Inaugurates Bhakt Mata Karma Chowk, announced allocation of Rs 20 lakh for stage and other works in Karma Bhawan

Deputy Chief Minister and Urban Administration and Development Minister Shri Arun Sao on Sunday performed Bhoomi Pujan of 171 development works allocated at a cost of around Rs 14.26 crore in Risali Municipal Corporation of Durg district.
Shri Sao also inaugurated the beautification work of Bhakt Mata Karma Chowk in Risali. This roundabout junction has been beautified by Risali Municipal Corporation at a cost of Rs 15 lakh. During this occasion, Shri Sao announced allocation of Rs 20 lakh for stage and other works in Karma Bhawan at Risali.
Addressing the program, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao said, “These development works worth more than Rs 14 crore in Risali Municipal Corporation are the outcome of just eight months of our government’s tenure. Chhattisgarh government is working in accordance with the public aspirations.”
Right after the BJP came into power, within 12 days the outstanding amount of two years’ bonus was deposited in the farmers’ accounts. The work of approval of Pradhan Mantri Awas for the poor is going on continuously in both urban and rural areas.
Durg MP Shri Vijay Baghel and Durg-Rural MLA Shri Lalit Chandrakar also addressed the program. Risali Municipal Corporation Mayor Smt. Shashi Sinha, Chairman Shri Keshav Banchhor and Leader of Opposition Shri Shailendra Sahu, along with local public representatives and municipal corporation officers and employees were present in the program in large numbers.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that it was a moment of intense sorrow on learning the death of 7 villagers and injury of many people due to lightning in Mohtara village of Balodabazar district.
“My condolences are with the families of the deceased. I pray to God for the peace of the departed souls and speedy recovery of injured,” said Shri Sai.
As per information, the injured have been rushed to hospital for immediate treatment by the district administration, which has directed other necessary instructions to provide better medical treatment and arrangements.
