Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao has instructed officials of the Water Resources Department to release water from the Khudiya Reservoir in Mungeli district soon. This will help the villagers with water access and protect standing crops. A delegation of villagers, representatives, and farmers from the Lormi region met Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao late this evening in Bilaspur, urging the release of water from Khudiya Reservoir for irrigation purposes.

The villagers from Lormi informed Shri Sao that the onset of the summer season has already created water scarcity in many villages. There is insufficient water availability for both crops and livestock. As a result, they requested the Deputy Chief Minister to release water from the Khudiya Reservoir.

In response, Shri Sao quickly took note of the situation and directed the senior officials of the Water Resources Department to release water from the Khudiya Reservoir. Considering the villagers’ demands and the area’s needs, he instructed the officials to act immediately. The delegation from Lormi included Mr. Gurmeet Saluja, Mr. Alok Shivhare, Mr. Ashok Jaiswal, Mr. Mahavir Rajput, along with a large number of farmers and villagers.
