Delegation of Chhattisgarh Working Journalists’ Association Pays Courtesy Visit to Chief Minister

Raipur, March 4
A delegation from the Chhattisgarh Working Journalists’ Association met Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai today at his residence office. They expressed their gratitude for doubling the Journalist Honorarium Fund and introducing new provisions in the budget for journalists. On this occasion, the delegation also presented a copy of Shri Vishnupuran to the Chief Minister.
Notably, the Chhattisgarh budget includes an increase in the Journalist Honorarium Fund from ₹10,000 per month to ₹20,000 per month, an allocation of ₹1 crore for journalists’ exposure visits, and ₹1 crore for the renovation and expansion of the Press Club building in Raipur.
The delegation also extended their gratitude to Finance Minister Shri O.P. Choudhary and Media Advisor Shri Pankaj Jha for making special provisions for journalists in the budget.
Present at the occasion were the President of the Chhattisgarh Working Journalists’ Association, Shri Arvind Awasthi, Coordinator Shri Rajesh Mishra, Vice Presidents Shri Bharat Yogi and Shri Mohan Tiwari, along with District President Shri Ram Sahu.
